The Royals' Christmas walk
Since this Christmas Day walk is counted as work in the British court circular, the Duchy of Cornwall, owned by the taxpayers, bought the clothes of Kate and Meghan. No price on Kate's clothes yet, but she did look elegant and festive. Meghan, on the other hand, looked like she was going to a funeral.
Meghan's coat was 2250 euros, her boots were 1000 euros and her bag was 1200 euros, so without the dress, her dismal looking outfit was over $5000 US dollars. All were by her pal Victoria Beckham, whose fashion company is reportedly bleeding money every year.

I really don't like that Meghan spends so much taxpayer money. She spends like a drunken sailor or a Real Housewife of Windsor. And it seems a waste, as her outfit is so dark and dismal. I think a nice bright color would have looked much cheerier. I get that she couldn't wear red, as most reds would have clashed with Kate's cranberry coat, but perhaps a winter white coat and dress would have worked for her? And maybe not an outfit that cost well over $5000?
How about any of these coats? The blue of Kate's maternity coats would have been much cheerier than the dark blue or black? And this first white coat would have been lovely on her. She is much shorter than Kate, so she can't wear the same kind of clothes that Kate can, and she doesn't seem to have an understanding of her body type.
Kate looks great here. The only quibble I have is with the matchy-matchy, which I think look amateurish, but since her gloves and shoes are darker, the look is polished in pictures, which is more than likely the point.
